Substacks of all sizes will be featured and we are attempting to give smaller/lesser known Substacks more opportunity for discovery. We will also continue to update our approach as we get feedback
Just received this weeks ‘Weekly Stack’ and as predicted, Substack shamefully keeps promoting their 'Golden Geese' accounts like The Honest Broker, Platformer, Culture Study, that Substack has paid to bring their audience on Substack. To my understanding, this weekly stack is meant to discover new writers who are TRYING to grow their following but instead we are shoved with the same TOP accounts which is annoying.
This sounds terrific for both your readers and your writers. Thank you for always trying to support both of these groups. We need each other, and you're helping every writer find their perfect readers.
A list of every active Substack, for example a tab under the Explore section, is an obvious but missing element. It's possible, so I don't understand why it doesn't already exist.
Sounds nice! I kind of did this today - searching through the writers that I follow and their suggested subscriptions <3 Found a couple new people to follow.
I’ve enjoyed receiving these! They’ve covered a broad range of topics and voices. It’s been a great way to discover new writers. It does seem like most of the recommendations are from writers with a fairly large audience already. I wouldn’t mind getting stacks that include lesser know/followed writers.
This is fascinating! From what I can tell, it means your weekly stack will be curated based on the people you follow and things you read, something like what YouTube and Spotify do for music? If it works out it could be very effective.
Will we be able to customize the weekly stack so that it’s specific to each individual? Like, would there be categories that we could “subscribe” to, so that we would get more newsletter recommendations within that category?
This sounds brilliant - thank you! I've been trying to find new writers to follow, and have felt like I'm almost stuck in a loop of people recommending the same people. Which is awesome for support (and, I've found brilliant writers this way), but I look forward to new introductions. Thank you!
Love this idea! Can’t wait to find my next favourite writer.
All you had to do was look at mine...
Agreed!
Looking forward to this and hoping to see writers with <1000 followers featured.

I just hope I make the list someday because I’m working so haarrrrrd at https://gradinterface.substack.com/publish/home
Year 3 posting on Substack and would just love a feature on the platform Bailey Bailz ;)
They’re subscribers! Not trying to pick hair but they’re so much more valuable than a follower
Very good point. Sadly, language from other platforms becomes lexicon, point taken and appreciated 🙂
Isn't that an old topic
Me too!
Can I say writers with <100 followers, who still post very frequently?
Hope this can help to grow your subscriber base: https://open.substack.com/pub/raisini/p/from-zero-to-100000-subscribers-the?r=aegif&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post

👍👍
I would love to find subscribers, writers to discuss things with. A way of going forward and never letting go of substack
I request something like this constantly, wow, great stuff. Thank you for valuing us.
#LoveSubstack Is there a way to get a list of all the people writing on substack?

I don't think this is available but I think it is a great idea! Maybe sometime soon.
Your Weekly Stack sounds lovely; I'm looking forward to more readers for my stories.

Did you find me?
Same! Just today!

Very much agree!

Yeah!!
This is the next best thing to the yearly Spotify Wrapped - maybe a Substack will have a Substack Wrapped soon
That’s what I thought. And yet...
Love the ever evolving ways you all help us get our work out there. It keeps me creating.

This!
!!!!
Great 👍 idea...
So much to read, so little time!
This is awesome! Looking forward to finding new works!
True awesome platform for it
