Thank you for Substack Reads - always cool things to discover here! I love Katy Kelleher's exploration of color and Brian Buchanan's scent analysis. Any chance of featuring Cooks Without Borders one day? It focuses on food culture and cooking - in a way that hopefully makes life a bit sweeter during a nervous-making time. https://cookswithoutborders.substack.com/
This is a gorgeous compilation, this is color when we need it. Thank you. You ask for possible new additions to your list. I share this one, about Virginia Woolf, her Hogarth Press, and her encouragement, I think, to have us become the people we've been searching for. With handmade art, to accompany the words. https://thehushandthehowl.substack.com/p/what-if-with-our-art-we-knew
Loved this roundup. I honestly and unabashedly recommend my small stack. Speculative Fiction short stories inspired by the myths and legends of the places I've visited
First I would have to be dead, mummified and m/or in a different plane of existence. Nothing a coup monger, rapist, convicted felon, corrupt moron who talks like a 4th grader could ever be of any interest to me.
It's interesting how public domain is becoming a bigger and bigger subject these days. Just a few days ago, I wrote about the weird, semi-copyrighted status of It's A Wonderful Life, which fell into public domain in 1974 but remains copyrighted by proxy: https://textualvariations.substack.com/p/iawl-gray-versions
And not gonna lie, I am hoping my newsletter gets featured in a roundup at some point. I also still think Substack should send more film and TV newsletter recommendations.
