This list has no diversity of perspective, it's the who's who Trump Derangement Substack. All of their content is about how Trump is literally Hitler and all of his 70+ million voters are Nazis. Their chats and writing are regurgitations of MSM.

Don’t read it simple

One metric missing is how the Substack leans. From the first few CTRs the stance is pretty lopsided.

I don’t know about most of them but Dana Loesch is definitely not in that camp.

I am not a fan of these debates, mainly because I do not like any of these candidates. Choosing between these evil candidates is no choice at all. No matter who wins this election, the people will lose once again. The border issue will not be fixed. Government spending is out of control and there is no fix in sight. Government is happily funding these vaccines which have more side effects than benefits. This while protecting the manufacturers from legitimate law suits. Government has deep pockets and uses lawfare to kowtow the people into submission. And freedom of speech is about to become a distant memory.

I was once a very optimistic individual. But the more information I receive and process, the less optimistic I become.

This is why this election is so crazy. There should be no republican candidate that couldn't hand Kamala Harris her ass. And there should be no democratic candidate that couldn't hand Trump his ass. But both sides have elected to go with the worst candidate imaginable and here we are. There's not even a decent VP candidate to save us.

I've recently subscribed to Substack and I greatly enjoy reading the diversity of opinions and "alternative facts." I particularly enjoy listening to and reading Daryl Cooper and El Niño. I don't always agree with their povs but that's a big part of the fun ☺️. Their both excellent and Darryl is a literary genius. He's a brilliant oral historian.

I shared this stack on FB and it was immediately removed

Facebook removes my substacks that are not even politically related. Like when I try to talk about my book…or being a parent

That is outrageous

Like cable TV, the Internet social media industry, (and yes it now is an industry), is segregating into personal preference segments. Obviously Truth Social is one and Twitter flipped from one to another.

The question is, what is Substack developing into?

Very good question, and one I’ve been pondering myself.

Not everyone reading on Substack is from the USA!

Yawn. While I admit that one candidate is "presidential" and the other is a narcissistic moron, it just comes down to one pro-growth, pro-corporate, pro-genocide candidate or the other, no?

Neither candidate will do anything meaningful about climate change, universal health care, resource depletion, or the terrorist state that is putting bombs in consumer electronic devices.

While I agree that one party is "less bad" than the other, I refuse to be limited to the "less bad" choice. I'll be "wasting" my vote on the Green Party, as I have for decades.

I agree with you. But I’m not waisting my vote this time. And I look a good spar. This will be a fun match.

I vote from a safely Blue state (WA), so I can vote Green guilt-free! My vote is not going to help Convicted Felon Cat Meat one bit.

Any way to opt out of a Subtack Reads when it only endorses politics?

Perhaps its just me, I would rather discuss politics with a guy who works in tool section of a home improvement store then discuss it with a rich Republican who is the selection of another rich Republican who orders jobs from people that don't speak English?

I just installed the app because Substack has done several things to make the web interface experience worse - in particular, they stopped emailing me notifications of replies to my comments about a month and a half ago, and they stopped allowing me to see direct messages from other users without using the app.

However, the app is still broken in fundamental ways, so I deleted it and went back to the web interface. You still can’t minimize individual sub-threads within comment sections in the app, and the notifications tab leaves replies to my comments interspersed between likes, which makes it harder to find them. They’ve at least made clicking on those links jump to the relevant comment, but I wish they would just fix these basic problems, rather than trying to remove functionality from other things.

(I don’t care about live chat - I have SMS if I want to chat with people, not to mention a million other apps. I want Substack to be usable for reading commentary in structured ways. That is supposed to be the point of this product.)

Do you know if it’s possible to stop the likes emails? I find it kind of annoying. I want to be notified when someone responds to my comments, but deleting all those likes in my email is distracting.

A few years back, I noticed that the likes emails and responses emails had a different subject line or “from” address or something, and set up a filter in my Gmail that made the likes emails go directly to trash without affecting the responses. But when I noticed the response emails were no longer getting in, I discovered that I wasn’t getting emails for either any more, so I just deleted the filters.

When I noticed this issue, I went to substack settings and noticed that they now have options to turn on or off email notifications of likes or responses individually - but I have them both turned on and am not getting either, so I don’t know what’s going on.

Interesting that some of the chats listed are hosted by disinformation agents like Dana Loesch, for example.

Recent reports have revealed that Doug Emhoff, Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband, allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend in 2012 after she flirted with a valet worker at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

The second gentleman reportedly struck his then-girlfriend in the face so hard she spun around. The report, emerging from the Daily Mail, decided not to give the victim’s real name, opting to call her ‘Jane’ instead, although it did state that she was a successful New York attorney.

Three friends of Jane reportedly came forward, choosing to remain unnamed out of fear of retaliation from Emhoff.
