A good selection of reads, we need more Music reads. What would be cool is to list reads based on location/city and that will enable writers to support local writers and collaborate. Adding ‘location’ on the publication would also be cool. Have an awesome weekend Substack fam.
The article "What Drives the Price of Gold?" is a prime example of why I've steered clear of writing about financial markets, despite my background in economics.
Sure, i could blog about gold prices, but it is impossible to compete with someone who who has 2 decades of experience as a gold trader... I would have to do mountains of research and I would still be flailing, my analysis would still fall short compared to those who have direct, practical experience in the market.

AI is a tool for corporations to monitize every aspect of our lives. Consumer AI is a joke, AI's true purpose is where it has been for the past 20 years, in the hands of institutions, not the public.
AI has turned into Crypto Bros and NFT retard's newest scheme. Don't listen to any of the AI bullshit. All consumer AI tools are the worst possible versions of a toolset period. Their only use is for quick iteration or for uneducated idiots to attempt to mask the massive gaps in their skill level to fool themselves into believing anything they create was 1, their creation and 2, better than anything anyone has done before. It's not.
AI "upscales" are a joke. Both in photography and videography. People have no idea how to work with either and how to actually repair or "restore" and process video or photos.
If you want to follow the future, the real future, keep up with ITER, Boston Dynamics, and Tim Berners-Lee's SOLID project. Corporations want to use AI the same way they wanted to use the mEtAVerSe, to create a platform where they can truly suck all of our wealth into. Do not listen and do not engage.
I marvel at the process exchange. Oh, the demonic intelligence of the power game of war! Would that such strategic accuracy would be trained on peace-making and keeping. Thanks for sharing these details.
I have the social demise of hanging out and feeling the void bookmarked. Both speak to my need to connect and add value. Am I worth coming to see? Am I entertaining? Ugh. All the emojis.
It's such a joy to be included in this roundup of thoughtful posts - thank you!! The piece on the social demise of "hanging out" really has me thinking. It's SO true.
I looked up Rush Limbaugh ‘s “the Real Story of Thanksgiving “. What a joy to hear him again. And also the wonderful content about how communism didn’t work and Bradford introduced capitalism. So appropriate. If you want to appreciate and give thanks, do it too. You will love it!!

Literally you are like substack famous. It’s insane you’re even mentioning my name
Oh my god you are crazy. You're better than David Sedaris. (No offense to him or anything...)
Wow I’m screenshotting that and putting it in my book proposal alongside a picture of me shaking his hand lol
I would be honored...
