The peer-guarded academic journals one sounds FASCINATING; we need this type of exposure. More and more we’ve seen far-left woke identity politics infest the waters of science and academia and it’s terrifying. Equity is a race to the bottom. We have to believe in facts and data and science. The left always claims to the ‘the party of science’ but that has radically shifted over the past 5 years. Not that the answer is on the Right, either. We must return to rational commonsense.

I write about these cultural issues generally.

Is there a way to not receive these unsolicited posts?

I clicked on the top right menu (3 horizontal lines, where my picture appears) and then chose Manage Subscription. From there it was a scroll down until the option to "Want to unsubscribe from Substack Reads?" which I gladly opted to take. (I ought to add that I chose 'open online' first, at the top of the email)

These are some interesting selection and good to see Substack is focusing on supporting a variety of different topics. I believe this should be the main focus of Substack, which is its core product and its writers. We need more reads about Music, and here is one that I collaborated with about Women in the Music/DJ business.

Great roundup this week! More than one that I'll be digging into. If you're interested in fantasy and science fiction, you might like this short story by Amy Letter, which was the winner of the second season of the Lunar Awards:

Or, the winner of the first chapter category, Winston Malone, with the start of his serialized novel:

Or, speaking of processed foods, a science fiction short story written by me:

There's a great big community of us, and we're happy to have Substack reading ficton!
