Here's a few of my faves this week:

Lovely interview: Interview with Gabrielle Bates

Amazing story of an art theft, finally put right:

If you care about evidence, then this is a subtle and important piece (it's so good, I may assign it as a reading to my students):

This is a very interesting take on a Russian state propagandist indeed:

Nice collection of Substacks in this issue. I’m especially interested in Atwood’s insights on practical utopias.

I find it hypocritical and sadly ironic that Margaret Atwood is celebrated when she is an unapologetic misandrist and despises Christianity. If the author was a misogynist she would be vilified. Her works would be banned by Amazon as hate speech. I'm glad Atwoods work is available to read but think the same consideration should be given to all. I'm saddened by the intolerance of a small radical, vocal group of feminist and the destructive power they have in our culture today.

Good round up! Just subscribed to Atwood’s newsletter.

Perhaps Matthew Tejo can do a Substack article explaining why Twitter censored the Hunter Biden story and conservatives in general. Let’s be clear. Substack exists because Twitter forced journalists to need a different way to publish their thoughts.

I'm enjoying many of these recommendations. So many things come my way that it is great to have a curated list.

I'm a freelance writer/photographer whose life outside the world of Substack focuses on K-12 education in the U.S. I recently had a story published on the after-effects of the 2018 school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas, the fifth largest mass casualty event in U.S. education history. This week, on my Substack page (http://glenncook.substack.com), I'm publishing a series of five profiles of the people I interviewed for the story, plus a wrap up. The series runs through this Sunday and I wanted to call it to your attention.

Also, on a side note, my wife and I are the parents of a former child (now adult) actor who made his Broadway debut at age 11. Earlier this year, I wrote a series of "Stage Dad" articles that featured personal remembrances and behind the scenes interviews with various people who work with children behind the scenes. That series is a separate section on my Substack.
