I’m really enjoying the newsletter from Michael Pollan... it’s clever and insightful, and beautifully written

Also - I wrote this week about the joy of growing edible garden weeds (and how they can be a terrific asset to your cooking repertoire)

Please take a look -

I’m really digging Tomas Pueyo’s newsletter, and really enjoyed one of his recent essays on Freedom, how it’s measured and why it matters for countries and their economies: https://open.substack.com/pub/unchartedterritories/p/freedom-will-always-win?r=1ojakb&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post

I’m also proud to have crossed over into the three digit subscriber territory for my own publication 🤭 we are small but mighty!

Fun to explore new stories here. Here’s a list of classic horror movies in case you’re looking for something different this Halloween. It comes with a fun poll that you can take to see how many scary movies you have seen. https://open.substack.com/pub/acabinetofcuriosities/p/do-you-dare-to-bite-into-this?r=bu9kr&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post

Well... I have subscribed to substack for more than two years. This is my first “notice” of this feature. I’d just like to mention Professor Heather Cox Richardson’s Letters From An American, has been my substack obsession since I signed up. I find Professor Richardson’s daily news analysis and history lessons indispensable.

Please scroll past if you’ve read the same post in the past. I, clearly have some catching up to do.

But, I would subscribe to a channel, if CBS, wants to fund such a venture, of The Nightly News with Walter Cronkite say ... 60 years ago? 50? Reviewing what we all viewed/experienced in that time, and follow it as it evolved... would be enlightening.
