I think the food trend storming America is the lack of food. You’d be surprised at how little “Korean!” means to people struggling to put a meal on the table.
Korean food is fantastic. I dislike depressing David Chang & his preachiness. Taylor Lorenz is wrong, again, as usual. I’m always shocked that she’s the “tech reporter” at WaPo & previously at NYT. She’s a good writer but she like Kara Swisher knows nothing about tech. Never has never will. The other day in her WaPo column she claimed that people want small communities, real names and brands & it seemed like it was a *sponsored post* for the unheard of tech company she kept talking about in her column. The comments section at WaPo also said as much.
She’s seriously out of touch with tech. But congrats on her winding up here at substack which she criticized vehemently before bc it had opinions she disagreed with. Lmaooo.
