Okay, I am shamelessly recommending my own The Garden of Earthly Delights (ged051.substack.com/about).
The reasons?
1) It is a new and original way of presenting art commentary. Text is perfectly integrated with the images, almost like captions. I haven't seen that anywhere else.
Also, 2) more pertinent to you in the administration of the site – Substack is the only website on the internet where it is possible for people like me to control what people see. I spend considerable time making sure that on a mobile screen – through your brilliant preview function – that readers can see there's always a picture coming up. They know an illustration is never far away. And that's also a great writing discipline – to keep commentary focused and concise.
Thank you @substack for your recommendations. I wait for these to have my weekend dose of inspiration to write me own creative pieces around culture, well-being and leadership.
GreTefully reading My Thoughts Be Bloody by Nora Titone, a recent find and poignant history of the Booths, actors all, one of whom John Wilkes assassinated Lincoln. Vibrant, well researched and a deep dive into the whys a man kills another whose political views and life goals are disparate.
This is a lovely, eclectic collection of Substack writings. Thank you!!
I’d also like to shamelessly recommend my own writing — just because this week I happened to write something I’m very proud of, which is this personal essay on the early internet, collective action and lucid dreaming: https://sundogg.substack.com/p/lucid-dreams-of-the-early-internet
Great. Thank you for aggregating great articles. Also, feel free to check out my substack recent article on Elon's Twitter deal - Elon "flipped a bird."
The crypto crash happened when Russia invaded and fell further when 8% inflation was first revealed. It happened ages ago but when people mention crypto crash they are trying to pretend it happened yesterday.
I enjoyed reading How I became a patio person.
Thank you always Substack for the recommendations,
I'd like to recommend an amazing Brooklynite mommy living and writing her experiences in Japan right now, Miss ZM Spalter

And 3) I'd very much like a boost!

I would love for you all to read my post about stand-up comedians who get away with murder. Hint: it’s not what you think. But you will relate. https://rajofftherecord.substack.com/p/it-was-just-a-joke-officer?utm_source=twitter&sd=pf
I enjoyed this read: https://metawagner.substack.com/p/friday-frights-3fd?r=1wgs5&utm_medium=ios
Thanks for featuring Alison! I have another recommendation this week, from Bryn talking about a woman's experiences in using her PhD title both online and in real life: https://brynphd.substack.com/p/whats-in-a-title-campfire-notebook
In Rebecca Davey’s Observables she shares a really thoughtful essay on breakups and finding herself again in the dirt. https://observables.substack.com/p/dirt-and-words
My favorite read this week was a goofy, irreverent one about frozen pizza frisbees. There’s a photo of Dennis, the writer, in this post that will make you laugh aloud - https://foodisstupid.substack.com/p/which-brand-of-frozen-pizza-makes

If that doesn’t strike the fancy, this slightly older essay about a group of friends who were obsessed with Lacan is also, I feel, an example of good writing: https://sundogg.substack.com/p/celebrating-5-stupid-unnecessary
Either way, thanks for doing the fun and necessary work of surfacing talent from across the Substackosphere!!! Looking forward to your next dispatch.

Try Mark Cutts. A free (or subscribe) short short story plus mostly made up serialised novella HOLE. Already on chapter 8 and loving the story.
Hi ! I love reading these - how do blogs get featured on it? https://gottastartsomewhere.substack.com/
I’m enjoying Marks’ Musings by Mark Ferreira. He actually encourages thought, rather than just a set of facts or allegiance to a group.
