I can’t wait to read these all! That cafe in the mountains is a feeling I’ve hoped to encounter someday. I love the feeling it evoked in me.

I’d like to recommend an essay I read this week, it really got me thinking (particularly about how I perceive time and “big events”):

Funny, I would also love to go to that cafe and also loved the face surgery essay you linked to. I haven't read many food writers in the past but this is such a great cross-section, it makes me reconsider that a bit

A culinary edition! Very well curated, I love it! As someone who never found great pleasure in cooking (but loves eating) I'm endlessly fascinated by the people who live for the art of cooking.

Some great recommendations, thank you Emiko. What better than to spend a rainy Sunday discovering new writers.

I have a lemon tree bursting with tangy winter colour. The joy I get from picking two each time I bake Fresh Lemon Cake (topped with juicy sweet and citrus syrup) for afternoon tea, served with coconut yoghurt, is how I get through winter. I loved the read on home made cakes.
