Not only is there a Jane Austen Substack, it’s probably way better than you are imagining! We’d love to have you engaging with our conversations about the badassness of Austen at the Austen Connection - where we’re talking about how Jane Austen’s stories connect to us today and connect us to each other. :) :)
A reporter's memoir "With the Bark Off" by Neal Spelce, with the Forward by Dan Rather, is another great read. It reports on his personal contact with politicians, but it is not about politics.
"I read in my office too, which contains a couch but no desk. Really I am always trying to be as horizontal as possible." Honestly, same. Sofa > desk every time.
Loved these answers and looking forward to catching up with Emma's Substack archive! ✨
As a new writer on Substack I appreciate the valuable thoughts and ideas presented by many writers I find. I try to incorporate some new ideas all the time, and although I seem to be writing mostly on political issues, I keep an open mind to the other things floating around in my gray matter. Thanks for being on Substack, and maybe you can check me out and comment for me. I would appreciate it. Have a great day Emma. Ralph Menweg...McCactus
