Private Message from Nicola Lamb: “The best time to start is yesterday”
read.substack.com
Nicola’s story is a story of what is happening across the UK right now: a tale of one person, putting their faith in a platform that allows them to express what they want, how they want
HONOURED to be featured and proud to be a card carrying member of the substack fan club. VERY surreal being interviewed by *the* Farrah Storr, too. What is happening?!?! Feeling explosively joyful!
I’m one of Nicola’s paid subscribers. Her Substack has genuinely replaced my Sunday paper of previous years. It is a phenomenal column, I look forward to it every week!
What a fantastic read and hugely inspired to lean into our individual quirks - as writers but also as humans - and be unafraid about sharing, deeply and enthusiastically, the things that bring us joy, keep us awake, and feed our souls.
"To be unashamedly obsessed with whatever you are into. To not shy away from details and to get deep into whatever it is that you love." - I LOVE THIS!
As someone who's followed a similar path, I find Nicola's journey and experience encouraging. It's definitely not easy to shift from a Chef's life to a Writer's Life...from hours on your feet to hours on your butt in front of a computer...from confidence to self-doubt...and much more.
So, kudos to Nicola and her success...and to all the others who continue to search for their niche in the Substack universe.
I’ve been looking for more foodies to follow! Perfect timing! I find food content so relaxing - like the Instagram of old but with more substance and better insight! ✨🥰💫 🥐

Nicola is one of the BEST, love to see her featured here!

Thanks for putting this out there!
